Hey Everyone! After going through

Hey Everyone! After going through some other friends' websites, seeing that they have a blogger in place, I've decided to start a blog my self. It's probably better than bombarding your inboxes with a ton of emails.

So today was my first day on the job... sort of. In case you've haven't heard yet, I'm working at the Century Movie Theatre in Pleasant Hill (aka "The Dome") this summer. Yeah, the pay is minimum, but I got fed up in the summer job market in CONTRA COSTA COUNTY. I gave up on doing the temp agency thing since I would be working for like 3 full weeks this summer. Besides, I get to see movies for free this summer, which would take a bunch of my income. (Duh, there isn't much to do up here, especially in Co Co Co) I was supposed to work from 10-6 today, but my friend Andrew went overboard on scheduling and exceeded the budget, thus I only worked from 10-3. But I was assured that next week should be better. From the 3 hours I was there, I realized how many seniors decided to see Molin Rouge this morning. Damn, wouldn't expect to see 70+ year olds watching it. Today, I was showed how to do things in concessions.... stop laughing! But, I spent most of the time at the door letting people in.

Right now, I'm house sitting as my sister takes care of my grandma here in the Crossings! (SJSU: It's a Concord thing) I'm here for this week and next I'm probably going to stay over at my aunt's condo, which is currently vacant as she normally takes care of my grandma after work here in, you guessed it, the Crossings.

So there's the brief for now.

BTW, I'm going through withdrawl right now, not being able to watch Tech TV. But I can hear Tech Live archives on Real Audio and I'm taping the Screen Savers all this week :) Yeah I am a true Tech Geek... Just let me finish reading my latest PC World, which the Moulder Mail Room graciously forwarded to me last week.

Sorry I haven't blogged for

Sorry I haven't blogged for a while. Couldn't get the damn thing uploaded properly. Work's been keeping me busy, entertained, and stressed. Worked box a couple of times this week. Damn kids are annoying. Opened Dr. Dollitle 2 this weekend. Crowds are good, but I think Atlantis is still bigger (judging from the garbage that's always left behind.... can't kids control themselves?) I'm going to keep this one short for now. Will blog later this weekend.

Ahhh Mondays! Work was ok

Ahhh Mondays! Work was ok today. More people around my age were working today, so I wasn't totally bored. Found out that the theatre's required to have a midnight showing of AI. BTW, it's a 2:45 movie. Won't find out my schedule until Thursday.

Going back to Sunday... drove my mom to Pittsburg. Haven't been there since high school. Tried to get Chris to see a movie, but at 2:10 in the afternoon, he wasn't ready for the day. Go figure. So I drove over to WC to visit Colleen and Cari at work. Apparently they had an exciting Saturday night.

Realized that I get to register for classes next Tuesday! I still haven't planned that one out yet. That's what Sunday's for.

Well that's it for now.

OH MAN! Work yesterday/last night

OH MAN! Work yesterday/last night was crazy! We opened AI and every set had larger crowds than what we were staffed for. Ashiko called me at around 1:30 or so asking if I can come in early. Being scheduled for 5-11, I worked 2:30-11, most of the time in box. Only one headset was working and Jessica already had that one, so I was basically yelling all afternoon. Throughout the day, I ripped a 20 (because of the damn cache box), had a ton of overpunches and refunds that haven't been cleared on my computer till the end of the night, and soon practically begging customers for 1's because I ran out by the last set of AI @ 10:30. Speaking of the last set, I had to process about 13 refunds, most of which was because "I don't want to wait in that line!". Ok, the dome wasn't even half sold yet! There were under 500 seats left in a theatre that sells under 900. It was totally insane. I was cashing out at the end of the night and my count didn't match what was on the computer. Andrew knew I was basically exhausted and sent me home. Poor guy, he needed to go home more than I did.

Today, my bro and I are going out to see AI and hang out with friends because one of our's is going to CO for an asst. coaching job. I haven't seen most of these people since Christmas.

After that, I'm once again working in box, from 5-11. Hopefully tonight wouldn't be as bad as last, but with my luck...
