Today was one of those up and down days... My Sunday started off with going to church w/the family, the driving straight up to my aunt's house in Vallejo for lunch. Afterwards, I left for work only to have to drop off my sister in Concord. Driving in a Volvo w/no air conditioning and in a fall heat wave made the drive suck. Then I got to work. During my shift, Robert tells me that as of Friday, my wage was $7.75. Later that evening, Robert told Harvey (the house manager) to talk to me. Harvey offered me an assistant position, saying that they have an opening and Robert interrupted by telling him not to say that but to say that it's because I'm capable for the job. So I start my assistant training next week. So now, things are going good!
So on Tuesday, I decided to go home and pick up my suits. On the way back, I stopped by the dome to gloat and brag (heh, heh) and make a pit stop. I first talked to Holly who was in box then went inside 21 to talk to Rosemary and Steve. Then Andrew and Jeff showed up. Then soon Dean popped in from booth. I don't want to go into details here, but there is some tension going on over there in regards to start pay at the new PH theatre and what some of the assistants are making. But it was good talking to old co-workers.
Jeff called me in class today, left a voice message saying that my check is once again in PH. What the hell's up with payroll? I'll ask Robert if he could get it for me.
The week's done for me now! Have to do some cleaning around my room.
Oh yeah, SJSU Andrew's having a massive party at his place on Saturday night. I can't wait to see how that goes.
So I've been doing some manager training this past weekend. Friday, we had the mess with the reader boards and the marquees not updating. Thank God IS was there. Apparently the path directory wasn't correct, among other things IS was fixing that day. So far being a manager is alright.
I took Saturday off so I could go to the SJSU homecoming game and to my cousin's 18th birthday party. SJSU lost again, with our new head coach vomitting (really) after the game. We haven't won a game this season, last season we almost made bowl and lost our head coach. Our new one throw up. I think the athletic department has major issues to deal with!
Saturday night was a big bore. I kept text messaging Chris on my phone throughout the evening. Yeah, it was really that boring.
This weekend I'm helping out with the Pleasant Hill opening. I just don't know exactly when I'm going to be working there. I'll find out tomorrow.
