So yeah... lot's of things have been happening these past few weeks.
First off, my dad suffered a stroke a couple of weeks ago. He's doing alright now, but of course, it was a scare for us.
Next, I just tendered my resignation from Century Theatres. Milpitas was not working out for me and I need to be at home during the weekends. Unless I get a better summer job offer, I plan on working at the dome again during the summer.
Spring Break is just a few weeks away... I really want to go to Vegas (since I just turned 21 and everything), but with this group, who the hell knows!
"I want to give a shout out" to Colleen for turning 21 this past Saturday! :-) Another one from high school is now 21!
Here's a random thought...
Remember the ditto machine and the warm, moist, pleasant smelling documents they would produce? Oh those were the grade school days. I encountered this article about how faxes are essentially replaced by email and how we should revitalize faxes. Click here.
First off... some of you guys were asking as to why I stopped putting the songs I'm listening to in my blog posts. Well, the answer is simple: Because I'm not listening to my MP3s. Usually, my roommate's playing something more on the lines of "where my niggers at?" or "fuck that bitch" constatnly filling the confinds of what is my dorm room. So yeah, there's the explination for that.
I'm supposed to be studying for my System Analysis midterm right now, but I can hold that off till tomorrow morning! Oh yeah, find Scantron 882!
Also I'm contemplating what I should do this summer. For some strange odd reason I want to work at TechTV, but that's just a fantasy. Wouldn't it be kick ass if they hired a college kid to be on air. Yeah, I'll keep dreaming!
Oh here's something I've been meaning to share... For those De La Salle alums who recieved those cards requesting them to help out with the alumni directory by calling an 800 number. Well, being true to my alma mater, I did just that. I updated my information and such. Then they offered me a copy of the directory. They went straight for the kicker and pitched for the hard-bound, encyclopedia type copy for $79.99 then offered for the soft-bound copy for $69.99. I was like... can I get back to you. That's a tad pricey for an alumni directory. The freaking World Book Encyclopedia Year Book doesn't even come close to that price!!
Ok, I should retire soon if I want to get up and study for that midterm in the morning.
Start MP3: P.O.D. - I Feel So Alive
^^^^^^^^^ It's back :-)
I was going to start blogging for the spite of not blogging in a while, but I don't know what to write...
Okie dokie, here's what's on my mind at this exact moment:
I want to go to 80s night at the Cactus. Granted, it's the Catctus, but it's 80s night!!! I just regretting that I left my ripped jeans at home. Thinking of spiking my hair tonight :)
End MP3: U2 - Sweetest Thing
MP3 of the day: The Dickies - Killer Klowns From Outer Space
^^^^^ because it's late and it's a good segue to what I'm going to blog about :)
So yesterday, I went to Fry's to get Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back and Clerks on DVD. Well, before I went to the DVD section, there was a DVD table up front with their 9.99-14.99 DVDs. You won't believe what I found there for $9.99... Killer Klowns From Outer Space!!!! Talk about a cult classic, 80s, cheezy, sci-fi B Movie! Granted, I was about 8 or so when I first saw it on HBO, it's one of those few movies that's placed high in my "must see it every time it's on TV" category. And as you can see at the top of this blog, I acquired the MP3. And this DVD was a great buy! Widescreen, commentary, featurettes, storyboards, and more... all for $9.99!
Unfortuately, Fry's didn't have Clerks on hand, but who can beat KKFOS?!?
