That's right! It was reported tonight on the news. Watch the clip here.

Apparently, Kaplan is the one who compiled the information which was published in their book. "The Unofficial, Unbiased, Insider's Guide to the 320 Most Interesting Colleges". If you already saw the news clip, you would already know that the information gathered was from high school counselors. Here's a press release from Kaplan giving a synopsis of the book, including references about SJSU and CSU Chico topping the before-mentioned list: http://biz.yahoo.com/prnews/020702/nytu002_1.html
Also, I've started a discussion thread on my forum if you want to give some input! Just head on over to http://forum.rapp81.com. You must register before you can post, but that task is quite simple. Just click on the Register link under the Invision logo, enter a User Name, Password, and valid Email address. My server will immediately send you a confirmation email which will contain a link to confirm your registration. Only I have access to any non-public information (such as email addresses and passwords) that is entered, but theoretically my server provider has access to my SQL database. Just giving a brief privacy statement :) Oh yeah, "your information will not be given to or sold to a third party, blah, blah, blah"
Have a great 4th of July!
So I guess the problems started yesterday when the Manager PC wasn't grabbing the necessary files that needed to be uploaded from the Ticketing PC server to the main office. Apparently, the Manager PC wasn't logging into the domain. Today, Rosemary and I were on the phone with the IS department trying to figure out why our terminals were somewhat logging into the network, but they could not communicate with the ticketing server. We had 2 out of 3 box office terminals and a time clock terminal down. IS tried using PC Anywhere to get into our system and ping the the terminals, but it wasn't working. At one point, IS told me to get a new hub and see if that's the problem. So I took some money out of petty cash and went over to CompUSA to get a new hub, which was a Netgear hub, btw. Plugged in the new hub... still didn't solve the problem. Eventually, they just gave up on the mapped network drives and replaced their references to "\computernameblah". Now we just need to get a new printer, which we'll get tomorrow. Oh yeah, I need to tell them about our DS0 connection spontaneously dropping. I bet you anything it's because of the Concord CO.
Going back to yesterday, I along with with a few others took a break to climb on top of the dome to see the fireworks. This is the second time I've done this and it was awesome, except for the heavy winds that were going.
As for the rest of thing, nothing new.... God this summer is like last.
Just for the spite to make sure Blogger's not having any issues tonight, I'm just going to post the fact that I did the theatre recording for this week. So if you want to hear my pathetic voice announce movie times, dial 925-687-1100.
