I'M REMINDED ONCE MORE ABOUT NOT BLOGGING

So I'm on the phone with Chris yesterday, practically begging him to drop his packing and head down here for the night. That attempt failed. However, he did remind me once more that I haven't blogged in a while. After reading my last blog, there's some catching up I have to do.

First, I'm practically settled into my new apartment in Sunnyvale. Didn't meet any of my neighbors till Friday night at the newcomer's party. Met a bunch of guys from Cornell interning at Intel for the year... they seem pretty cool.

I couldn't get a dish installed :( Apparently I have no line of sight due to the redwood trees outside. Now I have to burn a hole in my pocket paying for AT&T Broadband.

Classes are going well this semester. One class I'm taking is called Alternative Cinema. I was determined to take an RTVF class before I graduated. Luckily, this class takes care of some advanced GE :)

Now there can't be a blog w/o referencing something from work, right? Well, this is prob going to be one of the last references to it. On my way down, moving the last of my stuff, I stop by the dome to pick up my paycheck. I walk in and it was chaotic.. they were understaffed! So I walk in the office, asking if Javier's all by himself out there. Now what do I end up doing? I grab my blazer in my car and start trashing the dome. Granted, what I'm wearing besides my blazer is a Quiksilver tshirt, jeans, and my Converse. You ask me if I got paid for this... Hell yeah. I clocked myself in for a few hours. Besides, they were way under payroll!

I'll fill in some details about the happenings down here later one.

NEW COMMENTS SYSTEM... STILL FIXING A MINOR BUG

Due to the fact that the hosted comments system I was using is causing my blog to load slowly (their servers are consistantly busy nowadays), I've decided to swtich to a PHP based comments system locally on my server. It works fine, except for the case when there are zero comments. Right now, it shows that instead of zero, there are 15 comments, and when you open the link, it will show 15 null enteries. I have to take a closer look at the php code to see what's going on.

UPDATE 9/12/02 @ 8:42p
Comment counter now fixed! Apparently the commenter counted the lines of code in my customized 404 page, when it redirected from a non-existant comments file. After trying over an hour to debug w/Chris, I finally figured out what was going on. I had to change the variables so it used the server paths instead of the http paths.

CAST YOUR VOTE NOW!

Tonight on NBC3 News at 6, sports reporter Chris Flannigan reported about the DLS Streak. It was duly noted that this year's seniors were in the second grade when the streak started! Talk about feeling old here... Anyways, with all this hype about the streak running for about a decade, is it quite possible that it could all end this season? Cast your vote on the left hand side of this page! I say there is a slightly larger chance that the streak will end this year... not to be cynical or anything :) Open comments and votes can be placed from either this blog entry or from the polling system. Closed comments and votes from registered users can be made on forum.

Note that voting on the polling system will only allow one (1) vote per IP address and the forum can only allow one (1) vote per registered user.

THE STREAK GOES ON AND THEN SOME...

First off, I would like to say on the record that I did not say that DLS was definitely going to end the streak this year. I simply pointed out that there was a slightly larger chance. Remember the fact that I do choose my words wisely :)

If you watched the game... it was a good one, wasn't it? I with Randall, Joe, Aimee, and Matt Malone, at Mrs. Mizzi's house. For those of you who didn't know, the game was on FSN live, 11:30 - 2AM. We were so energenic, especially Mrs. Mizzi, as she was screaming off the top of her lungs. We were afraid that Concord PD would knock on the door, since all the windows were open. Final score: DLS 31, STL 21.

Earlier that evening, Randall, Joe, Aimee, and I went out for dinner then headed over to Twist in Downtown Walnut Creek. Let's just say that I was slightly underdressed.

I would write more, but Anthony called me and I had to teach him DOS... long story.

CHANGING LOOKS! I'm playing around

CHANGING LOOKS!

I'm playing around with Dreamweaver to change the look of the blog. It's still a work in progress!
