While most people are looking forward to what's going to happen in the New Year, here I am looking back, sitting in my room, watching VH1's "I love the 80s", where each hour is devoted to all these stars thinking back on each particular year in the decade. Earlier today, when I came back home, I turned on the TV to find the Dish tuned into Noggin, where they were showing Square One TV and the Mathnet mystery of the week was, "What's wrong with Roy Lefty Cobbs?". It's when a minor league baseball player suddenly becomes a super-player (revealed in the end that he's an android controlled by his 'agent's' huge cell phone) and starts to send off out-of-the-ordinary number sequences to the bat girl.
Yeah, it's a total riot with me right now =)
SENDING RANDOM TEXT MESSAGES / IMs FROM MY PHONE A FEW MINUTES AFTER MIDNIGHT
I have this feature on my new phone where I can send out a single text message to a bunch of contacts in my address book. I was hoping that the group down in SJ would notice their phones going off, one by one, in first name alphabetical order, but I guess they were partying too hard to notice. I called in to send my greetings and explain my little technological experiment.
And on that note... Happy New Year!
Let me preface and say that I just saw David Hasselhoff on "I Love 1989" when he was at the Berlin Wall, which leads me to what I finally got around to seeing yesterday.
I had HBO Signature's "Jekyll & Hyde: The Musical" sitting idle on my DishPVR. Let me tell you that Hasselhoff is terrible in this musical. However, I have always wanted to see this musical since my sophomore year and dreaded the fact that I missed it when it was in SF. However, being in a somewhat sad mood yesterday, watching a musical tragedy was not something I should of done. I totally felt for the whore :(
I finally got around to putting my own and family's DVD collection into Access. This list is about 90% complete and separates out the ones that stay at home and the ones that are usually with me at my apartment. Go here to see it.
After a minor coding issue I had, I finally brought v3.5 online! Here's what you can expect from this version:
First off, I decided to drive down to get a few things out of my apartment. Since I didn't have any means of enjoyment in my room, I decided to kick it on campus for a bit.
Thinking I had $4 in my wallet, I decided to attempt parking in the Seventh Street Garage. As I tried to grab some money out I let this girl go ahead of me. We started to chat about the parking on campus. Since she was virtually new to SJSU, she was asking about the parking issue. After she got her daily permit, we bid our farewells and I noticed at that point that I didn't have either 4-$1 bills or a $5, so I was SOL.
I drove around for a bit and scored big time! Since it's intersession, they're not enforcing the "S" Permit regulation for perimeter parking, so I was able to grab a spot on San Fernando, next to the Engineering building.
Right now, I'm just hanging out in the Business Computer lab, which unfortuately closes at 5 today (so does freaking Clark Library!). So if you read this and are in SJ, call my cell or IM me!
