These are the things that happened in the past 48 hours.
I opened on Friday, since Anthony was planning on having a get together later on that night. After I logged off the safe, I IMed Nate on my phone and asked if he knew of any definite plans. Of course, none have surfaced, so I tried calling Anthony. I tried calling several times and I assumed he was ignoring me. Then a call comes in to the office and it was Andrew. Anyway, we finally get some word as to what going on for the night.
Nate met me at work and we waited for Anthony to show up with Andrew and Kelly. When they picked us up, Anthony said that he needed gas, so we directed him to the Chevron (Standard in Vegas.. heh) station on the corner. After getting gas, Anthony decided to play a game of move up, back up on the intersection. It was a no turn on red intersection and he kept going beyond the road sensor.
We arrive at the game, late because of the tunnel and 880 traffic. When we pulled up in a parking spot, Anthony parked too close to the car on his left. I told him that I couldn't get out from my door and as I said that, I swung it open only to realize that there was less space than I anticipated. Let's just say we had to pull into another spot :)
We met up with Berg and Paul, then the rest of the recent DLS band graduates arrived. While the minors were sneaking in their alcohol, I decided to hit the bar to get myself a long island. Let me just say, I was quite pleased with my long island. First, I was served in 2 minutes. Second, it was a regular sized drink for a price that was not bad for a ball park... $9. After getting my long island, I went in line for food, as I haven't eaten all day. I waited in line for 20 minutes or so... I was getting buzzed and it was getting killed by waiting in line. I finally got my big dog and garlic fries and headed back to the stands.
At about 9, Anthony decided to leave because he and Andrew had a flight the next morning. However my sister called and wanted to speak to Dan and Anna. I finally left with Anthony, Andrew, and Nate after about 5 minutes with my sister talking on the phone. As we were walking back to the car, I asked Anthony if he was up for seeing American Wedding that night. He said no because of his flight, then I asked Nate and he was up for it. So I Fandangoed the tickets (haha) in the car.
Anthony dropped us off at the dome. From there, I drove Nate to his house to pick up his car to leave it at PH Bart. Then we headed off to the PH-16. The movie was fucking hilarious! Despite the spoilers in the trailer, there were some bits that weren't that were off the wall.
Now I was going to talk about our new boss, but I'm pressed for time right now... Will post about that later on.
After dropping Nate off at his house after the movie, I went back to the dome to see if I could catch up with Rosemary. I helped carry a few boxes to her VW bug. It was kinda weird... helping her move out of office. It was also weird to see the entire back office clean! It was no where near that when I left that afternoon.
Well the next day, I came in for the closing shift to find Rosemary and Tom (the new GM from PH-16) exchanging the reigns of command. Tom's a pretty cool, laid-back guy and he has already established that not a lot is going to change. We were expecting something like that from him, since we've all met him sometime or another since he was across the street.
While making my last deposit, Chris called me from Capital 16, while he and Amber were waiting for American Wedding to start. He was asking me if I knew about the CinéArts that was opening in Santana Row then talked about how they and Brian went to the Scottish and Irish Games in Monterey.
Speaking of Chris, he used one of the kick-ass pics I took in Vegas in his blog. Out of all the pics I took, that's my absolute favorite. Doesn't it look awesome?
